Meet your dedicated team below:

Dennis H. Peters, M.D. Urology

Dr. Peters brings not only his 40 years of medical knowledge and skill to the Woodlands Medical Specialists, but an exceptional level of care to patients. Since beginning practice in Pensacola in 1977, his patients often express their appreciation for this high—and direct—level of care as a compassionate physician who makes himself available.

Originally hailing from the volunteer state, Dr. Peters began his medical profession while attending the University of Tennessee's Medical School in Memphis. After completing his residency at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans, and serving two years as a physician in the Air Force, Dr. Peters moved to Pensacola with his wife, Betty Gail, and their two daughters, Molly and Meg.

Aside from his professional affiliations in organizations such as the American Urologic Association, the Southeastern Urologic Association, the Florida Urologic Association, and the American medical Association, to name a few, Dr. Peters also serves on several community boards of directors. He is a recipient of the Hollinger Award for Outstanding Physician at Baptist Hospital. Dr. Peters enjoys playing golf and hunting, but especially spending time with his four grandsons.

John W. Garner, M.D. Urology

Dr. Garner brings a wealth of knowledge to the Woodlands team with over 32 years serving his urology patients. Having completed medical school from the University of Arkansas and later completed his residency at the University of Southern California Medical Center. Being a native of Arkansas, Dr. Garner quickly found himself returning to his southern roots.

Now, as a Woodlands Medical Specialist, Dr. Garner can treat the patients he has built long-lasting relationships with, and, all within a state-of-the-art facility that rivals that of any center on the west coast.

Frank J. Greskovich, III, M.D. Urology

Integral to Dr. Greskovich's approach to care is his light-hearted sense of humor and charming, all-smiles approach that not only commands trust, but provides a very humanistic level of comfort. His patients consistently seek his treatment for his characteristic smile and genuine care, but also because he is highly published, trained and knowledgeable in the area of urologic oncology (cancer).

Having grown up in Pensacola, Dr. Greskovich saw an opportunity to treat the community he cares about. He graduated with his medical degree from Vanderbilt University Medical School in Nashville, and completed his residency in urology at the Medical University of South Carolina. He received additional training in urologic oncology as a Fellow at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. As the only fellowship-trained urologic oncologist in Northwest Florida, Dr. Greskovich brings his extensive skills and knowledge back home to the Woodlands Medical Specialists. Dr. Greskovich treats a broad range of general urologic conditions in addition to urologic cancer and is board certified in the practice of urology.

When not advancing the understanding of urology oncology—and being committed to advancement of treatment through membership in organizations such as the American Urologic Association and the Association of Clinical Urologists—he spends his time with his wife, Carla, and their two daughters.

David P. Bernstein, M.D. Urology

Originally from the garden state, Dr. Bernstein left New Jersey to pursue his medical dream in the windy city, but not before receiving his undergraduate degree from Rice University in Houston. After conducting two years of research at the Department of Neurosurgery of the University of Health Sciences at Houston, he received an MD degree from The Chicago Medical School. Dr. Bernstein's love of Texas called him back south to Houston where he completed his Urology residency at the University of Texas Medical School/MD Anderson Cancer Center.

After his training, Dr. Bernstein moved to Pensacola in 1993 to join Pensacola Urology, now part of the Woodlands Medical Specialists. Away from his busy practice, he loves spending time with his wife and two children. His other passions are the outdoors, enjoying golf and tennis in particular.

Dr. Bernstein is board certified in the practice of urology.

Maurice L. Bouchard, Jr., M.D. Urology

Dr. Bouchard knows about service. He has served, cared for and treated a great number of people from shore to shore and, beyond-all, by serving his country. As a retired Navy Commander, Dr. Bouchard brings a sense of foundation and order to the Woodlands Medical Specialists, acting as inspiration mentor to not only his patients, but also to his fellow comrades.

Originally introduced to the Pensacola area back in 1988, Dr. Bouchard worked at the Naval Hospital, where he also earned a Teacher of the Year Award. He has since grown a network of close relationships with patients and physicians. Now, as part of the Woodlands Medical Specialists, Dr. Bouchard brings his 20 years of knowledge, experience and deep roots in the community back to the human side of medicine. He is a resident of The New Hampshire George Washington University Medical School and completed his residency at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego. Dr. Bouchard is board certified in the practice of Urology.

When not involving himself in organizations such as the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Society, Escambia County Medical Society and the Florida State University Medical Staff, to name a few, he takes to nature, hunting and fishing with his three sons, or spending time with his wife in the garden.

Brett L. Parra, M.D. Urology

If there's any physician intimately familiar with the power of southern hospitality, it's Dr. Parra. Through his 11 years of practice in Urology, Dr. Parra understands the root of exceptional care is treating patients like family. In fact, with every patient he asks himself: "What would I do if it were my family member?" It's this level of understanding and empathy that creates long-lasting relationships with all he meets and treats.

Dr. Parra brings to the Woodlands Medical Specialists a high-energy approach to care that he takes very seriously. His areas of special interest include minimally invasive surgery/laparoscopy, advanced endoscopic surgery and the use of the Davinci Robotic system.

Dr. Parra, a native of Louisiana, earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical School and completed his residency at the Louisiana State Medical Center in Shreveport. Outside the office he enjoys hunting, fishing, SEC sports, community involvement and cherishing time with his family. He is board certified in the practice of urology.

Davinder S. Sekhon, M.D. Urology

The beating engine of Dr. Sekhon's heart is his boundless care for his family. It's this understanding and motivation that enables him to not only walk in his patients' shoes, but also blaze trails toward their speedy recovery. His level of compassion translates seamlessly to all he cares for.

After completing medical school from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, Dr. Sekhon went on to finish his residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center before moving back to Alabama and obtaining his Masters of Public Health from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Dr. Sekhon is board certified in the practice of Urology. His areas of special interest include minimally invasive surgery/laparoscopy, advanced endoscopic surgery and the use of the Davinci Robotic system.

Now, part of the Woodlands Medical Specialists, Dr. Sekhon continues to treat his patients as he treats his family: with infinite patience. And, when not involving himself in organizations such as The American Urological Association and The American Medical Association, he spends his time traveling to national parks or finger-painting with his kids.

Jeff Wolters, M.D., M.P.H.Urology

The son of a naval aviator and a Pensacola native, it was no surprise that Jeff wanted to return to his family roots here along the Gulf Coast after spending his formative years in New Jersey. Following his undergraduate studies at Boston College, Jeff spent 2 years teaching inner city high school in Boston. He returned to the South to pursue his MD simultaneously with his MPH in Epidemiology from Tulane University in New Orleans. At every opportunity, Dr. Wolters returned to Pensacola to visit his family and friends and realized that he wanted to come home permanently after completing his residency and specialty training. He completed his internship in general surgery at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Dr. Wolters is currently in his final year as a Chief resident in Urologic surgery at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. After completing his 5 years of residency this year, he will be pursuing a clinical fellowship with a focus in Robotic surgery in Virginia.

Dr. Wolters has been published in multiple medical journals and has presented at multiple scientific meetings at the regional, national, and international levels for his work in robotic urology treatments, stress urinary incontinence and prostate cancer. Dr. Wolters is a member of the American Urologic Association (AUA).

Jeff has a passion for sports, outdoor activities, being on and around the water and is an avid golfer. He is always up to date with the status of college football and basketball teams as well! We are delighted Dr. Wolters will join the Woodlands team in January of 2013.
